one thing i was curious about was the padparadscha. the padparadscha is described as one of the world’s most expensive and rarest gems… right along with the ruby or the emerald. however, a natural padparadscha is almost none existent its so rare that they start pricing at $5,000 per carat and can get up to $30,0 women’s franck muller 00 per carat depending on size, color, clarity, and tone.

the one thing about luxury watches is that boredom is never an option. whether they wow you with their beauty or shock you with their prices, the best surprise is when they actually make you smile men’s mont blanc .

i have so many favorites from his collections that i had a hard time picking just one watch to share. however, after looking around for a while i settl chopard watches ed on a diamond watch from alain silberstein’s klassik collection entitled the krono bauhaus 2 diamonds. the klassik collection was actually the first collection created by alain in 1987 and this amazing watch was one of his first creations.

we are not exactly sure why this watch appeals to us on so many levels; maybe it’s the unique design that catches our eye, not necessarily out of awe… but out of confusion. when we first saw this watch we asked ourselves, what are the numbers for, what is the moving black dot for, and why do we like it so much?
we c porsche design watches ouldn’t answer all the questions but we can admit that a.b.art’s swiss made serie o watch 101 is pretty awesome. a.b.art swiss made is a watch brand that boast “unostentatious design” for men and women. in their exact words:
“a.b.art is different. a.b.art is authentic. we’re not about glitter and glamour but much rather about sophisticated beauty, low-key shapes and materials as well as high swiss quality. a.b.art is an expression of the passion and care with which watches are being produced in this swiss company day in and day out.

the company was started in 1991 by alexander burhans in germany and has produced watches that should be in art museums, heads tilted and all.
but, let’s talk about this particular watch. this is the o101 from the a.b.art’s men’s collection. the first thing you notice about the watch is all the dots. the do men’s mont blanc ts represent the quartz movement with 31 hole date indicator. the black dot rotates to the number with the correct day. the a.b.art o101 also has a silver steel brushed case with a silver dial and sapphire glare proofed crystal. it comes in a black or brown leather strap with a stainless steel buckle.

another innovative and patented feature of the watch includes a outsized date indicator. after the 31st day of each month it automatically switches to the 1st date of the following month and it’s extremely legible; really large for great reading.

on the opening day of the 2009 baselworld, the swiss luxury watchmaker wyler genève presented its new chronograph collection named code-s, comprising breitling watches 17 models. the watches are made of stainless steel or 18-carat red gold.
the distinctive tonneau case of the code-s chronographs is smaller and more rounded than that of their predecessor, the code-r. the chronographs have the same sandwich construction, with two metal plates fixed to the case with the help of four titanium sprung-mounted screws to provide the shock-absorbing function.
the watches feature wyler genève’s patented crown protector. in order to use th men’s breitling e rubber-coated crown, it is necessary to open it on both sides by the means of sliding pins. the chronograph pushers, looking like automobile foot pedals, harmonize with the case featuring the “wyler” engraving on the back of the watch.
